Moreover, its friendly people give a lively vibe to the city, something you can appreciate in the city’s many restaurants and bars. Some museums and buildings give away their colonial past and European artistic influences. San Jose also has much to offer and it is a city of great historical and cultural significance.

About the destination: Puerto Viejo is the first district of the canton of Sarapiquí, in the province of Heredia, Costa Rica. It has an area of 426.73 km² and has an estimated population of 20,174 inhabitants (2011), with an average population density of 47.28 inhabitants / km². The head is the homonymous city of Puerto Viejo, located 82 km north of the city of Heredia. It has an altitude of 37 meters above sea level. The zone is of flat topography, humid climate and it is furrowed by mighty rivers of divagante course, being the main one the dirty River. Puerto Viejo is on the banks of the Sarapiquí River (near its confluence with the Puerto Viejo River), where a small fluvial port is located for coastal shipping of shallow draft vessels.

About the destination: Arenal is situated north of San Jose. An active volcano, waterfalls, hot springs, and a big lake is what makes Arenal an interesting place to visit. The volcano is visible from all parts of the Arenal area and you can actually feel the volcano too, there are tremors and small eruptions constantly. There is a very nice, safe path through the rain forest. The scenery is beautiful along with all the animals and nature. It is relaxing just taking in the sights. The volcano is the area’s main draw, but there are plenty of things to do around the Volcano. Enjoying the beauty of the hot springs, water rafting, visiting the Arenal Butterfly Conservatory and going on one of the many hiking tours, which display all the natural beauty and wildlife. In one of the hiking tours you can go unguided and follow the path which leads to a beautiful waterfall. It is quite lovely to cool off in the waterfall after that long hike.

About the destination: Rincón de la Vieja is an active andesitic complex volcano in north-western Costa Rica, about 25 km from Liberia, in the province of Guanacaste. Its name means "The Old Woman's Corner", a reference to a local legend about a girl whose lover was thrown into the crater by her father; she became a recluse living on the mountain, and was credited with powers of healing. Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park, centered around the Volcano, Rincón de la Vieja, and the surrounding volcanic and natural features.
